Living In Slaughter Beach

Slaughter Beach is a charming town in Delaware that was founded in 1681. Slaughter Beach is home to many people representing an abundance of different cultures. This is seen a lot in the culinary scene. This area is known for being peaceful and quiet. One of the most interesting parts of Slaughter Beach is that it is a Certified Wildlife Habitat Community because of its amazing population of horseshoe crabs. Due to the horseshoe crabs' heavy population, there are also incredible birds that come to feed on the crabs at the coastline. Slaughter Beach is packed full of incredible coastlines that you will want to watch the sunset from.

The name of this beach has brought about many arguments over the years. According to early maps, a small creek named Slaughter Creek flowed through the marsh from Cedar Creek south and emptied into Delaware Bay. The bay was located north of Prime Hook Beach. Slaughter Neck is a place that is southwest of that town. As such, some people believe it got its name from the areas surrounding it. There is an ongoing debate on the title, so one day Slaughter Beach may be known as something else.
